In another universe, Singularity was born and raised by a couple Multiplicities. Singularity was born with a major deformity, which was having a heart or supermassive black hole. When a Galaxy is born within their native universe, they are expected to let go of their light over time. However, Singularity wouldn't let any light escape their black-hole heart and would suck the light out of the room or space they are in.
When their parents confront Singularity about it, Singularity shoots their parent in the face with their Big Bang Taser. Singularity's parents are laws of physics enforcers and the universe of the Multiplicities is entirely run on electricity. Singularity runs away from home and ends up falling off their native universe. Their parents are left heartbroken for all eternity. Tidal forces/dogs find Singularity in an interdimensional plane. They take Singularity into our Universe and let them meet their newborn pup, named Gravity. Singularity is basically raised by dogs. ("Heat Death") [Singularity's backstory is briefly enacted at the beginning of Act II]
This Universe was a wide-open space. Singularity and the Tidals hunt neutron stars for their nuclear pasta. Singularity rise in the pack through their use of the Big Bang Taser to gather resources; they basically introduced electricity into our Universe that we know now. Eventually, the nature of Singularity got to themself. Singularity decides that it was best for the Universe to be rolled into a closed space or a singularity, so that all resources are in one place. Some Tidals rebelled, such as Gravity's parents. Singularity uses the Big Bang Taser against the Tidals to make them fall in line and pushes Gravity's parents and other dissenters off the edge of our Universe. Singularity rolls the Universe into the Dome Home and Ellipse that they live in now.
Eventually, Singularity created or birthed or adopted six Galaxies: SPT0615-JD, Cartwheel, Whirlpool, Triangulum, Andromeda, and Milky Way. All their births are up in the air.
Memoir during ELLIPSES (Besides being the grandmaster of our Universe, Singularity becomes a grand[] in another. In the end, Singularity is no longer a “single” parent.)Singularity performs their daily meditation. Often, they hear their parents in their head. They still miss their past family. They see Abell, who is beyond the Edge of our Universe. They dismiss Abell, who reminds them of a Multiplicity (a super bright Galaxy without a black-hole heart).
When the children awaken, Singularity sets up their meal for crunch. After the kids do the usual arguing, Singularity gathers them together to say grace ("Crunch"). After saying grace, they realize that SPT0615-JD is not at the table. They head to JD to ponder what is the matter. JD is contemplating going to the Edge of the Universe. JD wants to share their light, perhaps with Abell out there. JD may be the only other entity in the home that can see them besides Singularity. Singularity warns of its perils. Singularity sends their children to their room. Singularity heads to their quarters ("Fixed Stars").
The following day/millennia, Singularity awakens to find JD staring out from the edge of their home again. They speak deeply about what it means to keep their light to oneself ("Luminous"). Singularity doesn't realize that JD has discovered their Big Bang Taser when Singularity crosses JD's line. JD shoots Singularity in the face, freeing the Ellipse that housed the family and unravelling our Universe ("Big Bang"). Singularity loses an eye, which Gravity picks up during the chaos.
As Singularity lies in a trillions-years coma, the Universe expands and spreads itself thin beyond anyone's control. In Singularity's honor, their other children - Triangulum, Andromeda, Milky Way, Whirlpool, and Cartwheel - has a mission to undo the Big Bang and bring JD home.
Singularity awakens when JD finds out that Gravity is holding Singularity's eyeball. Singularity wakes up to an empty and lonely Ellipse. They try to do the normal routine of meditation ("Point") [End of Act I].
At some point, Singularity finds Triangulum, Andromeda, Milky Way, Whirlpool, and Cartwheel at their campsite called the Continuum Checkpoint during a chaotic confrontation with the Tidals ("Big Rip"). They head home together and accept the mess that is our Universe ("It's About Spacetime").
